Guidance Counselors’ Circle Holds 8th Annual Convention
On its 8th year now, the Guidance Counselors’ Circle continues to help address the concerns of guidance practitioners, updating them with the current trends in their field of endeavor.
The 8th Annual Convention of the Guidance Counselors’ Circle was successfully held last October 16-17, 2008 at the CSB Hotel and Heritage Hotel, respectively.
More than 300 guidance counselors all over the country gathered and participated in the said occasion to be abreast with the licensure for their profession.
No less than Dr. Nilo Rosas, Commissioner for Education from PRC, was there as keynote speaker. He earnestly tackled the relevant topic for the interested audience- the role of PRC in Professionalizing Guidance and Counseling.
Dr. Rose Marie Salazar-Clemeña, the hard-working President of the GCC, conducted a seminar-workshop on “Understanding the International Standards in Guidance and Counseling.”
The other enthusiastic speakers who graced the event were Dr. Imelda Villar, Mr. Earnest Tan, Fr. Ted Gonzales, plus Mr. and Mrs. Roger Bartholomew. All of them contributed in enlightening our guidance counselors, equipping them with the knowledge needed to face the challenges of their chosen work- a work of unselfish self-sharing and committed dedication
